Connecting care - Big Ideas, Local Solutions

The Forum theme for 2010 is Connecting Care – Big Ideas, Local Solutions. Last year we set about Claiming the Space. Health reform – a reorientation of the Australian system to a stronger primary health care focus – is now clearly on the agenda and the network is a fundamental plank in the reform process. So the focus of this year’s Forum has shifted from Claiming the Space to what better connected care can be provided through health reform. We need big ideas but we need to ensure we come up with local solutions – innovation and integration is optimised through the flexible application of ideas at the local level.
